Snow at the Creek by Renee Leopardi
Renee Leopardi is an award-winning pastel painter who always found ways to create during her free time growing up. In 2008, she took an Advanced Painting workshop at Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia and has continued to further her art education through workshops and independent study. Renee has since expanded her art career to soft pastel painting instruction. Her classes and workshops include a variety of subjects such as: seascapes, floral, still life, local seasonal landscapes of southern New Jersey, marshes, creeks, the pinelands, farmland and portraiture.
“Currently, my body of work represents a big part of my personality – I have an innate need to help others feel good about painting. Whether you are viewing one of my paintings or painting along with me, I am working to take people to a place that makes their heart happy too. The landscapes, seascapes, and cityscapes that I paint have become a place anyone can go. Through expressive mark making, textures and color, the paintings have a familiarity without specificity of location or time. The paintings serve as a tour guide for a memory, feeling or even a dream.”
