Tom Pryor began his art journey in London when he happened upon oil and watercolor paintings by JMW Turner. The ensuing decades have been punctuated by inspired efforts of “manipulating paint into ethereal approximations of nature”. Tom most enjoys the free expression of painting en plein air, in the elusive pursuit of capturing the air between artist and subject. Tom pulls inspiration from the American West, Pacific coast and most recently Paris as well as coastal Maine and Cape May.
